Dana Enany, the owner of the first licensed farm in Jeddah in the Makkah Region specialized in Vertical Farming, revealed that the vegetables grown in Saudi Arabia are better than any imported vegetables.
Vertical or vertical farming is the practice of producing food and medicinal plants in layers stacked vertically using modern ideas of vertical farming, indoor farming techniques, and ecological farming techniques, where all environmental factors can be controlled.
She said that our mission is to produce and provide food that is free from harmful substances, and that it is safe, pure and healthy. With the grace of God, and the support and efforts of the relevant authorities we are growing locally.
She added, “We were able to produce 35 tons of distinctive leaves per year in an area of 700 meters. These locally grown plants are 100% natural, fresh and healthy from most imported products.”
And she added, “We can definitely say yes, the vegetables grown in Saudi Arabia can be better than any imported vegetables (even the imported organic kind).”
She indicated that “this project has long-term goals as it contributes to helping families, society and our country by providing pure, healthy and fresh produce compared to conventional farming.
She indicated that this farm uses artificial LED lights, environmental control (humidity, temperature, CO2, Nutrients), and a software to ensure that all plants receive the same amount of light, water and nutrients. Also, proper management means that pesticides are not needed.
